The Chronograph I – a timeless icon. Born in 1972. Redefined in 2022. The launch of the Chronograph 1 – All-Black Numbered Edition by Porsche Design follows the sold-out, limited anniversary edition of the celebrated design classic. Manufactured at Porsche Design’s own watch manufacturing facility, the chronograph is reminiscent of the unique, pure design of the all-black timepiece from 1972. Following in the footsteps of its revolutionary predecessor, the Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition catches the eye with its matte black dial. The crown, clasp and dial feature the current Porsche Design logo while the sapphire-crystal case back reveals the iconic Porsche Design winding rotor. The double-sided, seven-layer sapphire-crystal glass with hard coating ensures optimal readability. The tachymeter and date display keep the current Porsche Design lettering, while the minute hand features the unmistakable rectangular shape of the original baton hands, updated with a pointed tip for the most precise indication on the surrounding minute dial. The mineral glass with sapphire and anti-reflective coating protects the dial, which features a monochrome 3D print of the Pepita pattern and a Porsche crest.
