The Porsche 911 was the first masterpiece by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. Its iconic flyline has shaped the world of sports cars. Just as legendary: the puristic design principles of the 911. In 1972, Prof. F. A. Porsche transferred them to his second masterpiece – for optimal readability, even at the highest cornering speeds. The Chronograph I made history as the first completely Black timepiece.
The Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition brings this heritage into the present – and onto your wrist. Similar to its revolutionary role model, it features a captivating matt Black dial adorned with the current Porsche Design logo, as are the crown and clasp. On the back, the sapphire crystal case back provides a view of the Porsche Design icon winding rotor. The sapphire crystal with sevenfold anti-reflective coating on both sides and hard coating ensures optimal readability. The tachymeter scale and the date display are in the current Porsche Design font. The minute hand is in the unmistakably rectangular shape of the original baton hand, and a tip has been added for maximum precision on the surrounding minute scale. Diameter: 30.00 mm. Waterproof up to 10 bar (dynamic).
In short: a unique timepiece with motor sports DNA.

The Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition pays homage to the unique and puristic design of the all-black timepiece from 1972. Like all our timepieces, the chronograph is manufactured with precise Swiss craftsmanship in our watch manufacturing facility in Solothurn.

Watchmaking That Sets New Standards
This timepiece is created in a very special way, by hand, with great attention to detail. Manufactured in the Porsche factory in Solothurn, Switzerland, as a consecutively numbered edition of a maximum of 1,000 units, engineers and watchmakers work side by side there to combine design expertise with excellence in production. This chronograph is powered by a Porsche Design Caliber, the WERK 01.140 with COSC certification, and thus guarantees maximum precision.
Optimal readability. Then, as now.
The sapphire crystal with sevenfold anti-glare properties on both sides and hard coating ensures optimal readability – just like in the low-reflection cockpit of a Porsche. The date display as well as the hour and minute hands reference the original from 1972.
Time rethought.
On the back, the sapphire crystal case back provides a view of the mechanical movement and the Porsche Design icon winding rotor. The consecutive numbering is also laser-engraved on the titanium base.
